Chart notes
MR B QUIET void of early speed, moved up on the outside around the second turn, made a wide rally and got up late. CRIMSON STORM raced within striking distance, took the lead around the final turn, drove clear down the lane and was caught late for the win. DUKE OF BLUE RIDGE showed early speed, drove clear down the backside, saved ground around the second turn, but proved no match for the top two late. GRAND DESIGN pressed the early pace, forwardly placed throughout and weakened. ZULTAN raced near the front in the beginning, dropped back and was no threat late. TAPPIN FORA DANCE always raced near the back and showed little. UNCLE BRAD raced in the middle of the field, came around the first turn on the outside, retreated and was outrun.
