BELLA CARMELINA broke a step slow, racing in the back, had an outside trip, made a wide bid, dueled to the wire with WINGS LIKE EAGLES and got up late. WINGS LIKE EAGLES raced near the back early, moved up on the inside down the backside, drove clear around the final turn, dueled down the home stretch and was outfinished for the win. DAY FOR THE GRAY pressed the pace, raced close throughout and proved no match for the top two. BAILEYS SHOT showed early speed, saved ground around the final tur and faded. YOU HAVE NO IDEA vied on the front end, faded and was no threat late. BYZANTINE lacked early speed and showed little. QUIET MELODY always raced near the back and was outrun.
