Chart notes
RELAMPAGO VERDE prompted two wide, vied down the backstretch and around the far turn, wrestled a narrow advantage in upper stretch, maintained that margin while hanging on his left lead, inched free in the final sixteenth and held from an outer challenge late. DAI VERNON stalked along the inside, chased in the two path around the far turn, lacked progress through upper stretch, yet shifted out in midstretch, kicked in to gain on the leader in the final furlong and reached place late but ran out of ground to reel in the leader. LE GRIS set the pace inside of a prompting rival, vied with that one down the backstretch and around teh far turn, prolonged the battle after being headed in upper stretch, battled doggedly into the final sixteenth but yielded late and lost place in the shadow of the wire. LIGHTLINE trailed in the three to four path tipped out to the five path into upper stretch and ran on willingly. WINTERS LION pursued from teh two path and failed to factor. WINSTON WOLF tracked three wide, chased the top pair around the far turn and faded between horses in midstretch.
