Chart notes
WASHINGTON'S UNION set a well rated pace on a clear lead to the five-sixteenths pole, repelled the bid of the runner-up in upper stretch and kicked away late in a game effort. REINVEST reserved off the pace early whil racing four wide, continued to stalk from wide down the backstretch, mounted a rally in a drive midway on the turn to threaten in upper stretch and was unable to get by the winner while finishing wel to hold the place. LAW OF THE JUNGLE stalked the pace for five-eighths, rallied along the inside turning for home and put in a mild bid down the lane to be best of the rest. MONEY ROOM tracked the leaders from the inside through the far turn and failed to mount a closing rally. DELTA RIDGE went evenly failing to menace. BIG POPPER trailed much of the way never posing a threat. BLUNDER was not a factor.
