Chart notes
BRANZINO broke a step slow, recovered to stalk outside of the embattled leading pair into the turn, issued a bold challenge at the five sixteenths pole, gained an advantage while lugging to the fie path entering the lane, drifted inwardly in upper stretch, put an inner rival in tight quarters at the three sixteenths pole, then held sway under a drive. MOTOWN STAR vied for the lead inside of a prompting rival, got outkicked by a wider bidder nearing the lane, took contact from his earlier sparring counterpart when that one was put in tight at the three sixteenths pole, kept on to offer a rebid inside of the leader in the final furlong but was fended off. GOOD TO BE PRINCE vied two wide, got outkicked by an outer bidder leaving the five sixteenths pole, but was forced to bump an inner rival when put in tight quarters by that outer bidder at the three sixteenths pole, altered out, recovered and sustained pursuit through the final furlong but missed place at the wire. WEDDING GIFT leaned outwardly leaving the gate and was slow to recover, raced well back along the inside, then improved position. SHRINER chased the leading trio from the two path and weakened. DOES NOT COMPUTE trailed two wide and showed little. THE RIDER AND TRAINER OF GOOD TO BE PRINCE CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST BRANZINO ALLEGING INTERFERENCE IN UPPER STRETCH. FOLLOWING THE OBJECTION, AS WELL AS A STEWARDS' INQURIY, BRANZINO WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED THIRD.
