OPTIMUS KAT tracked along the inside, moved out to the four path in upper stretch, rallied while shifting inwardly to remain inside of the drifting leader, bid inside of that one at the furlong grounds, drove clear before flopping back to his left lead leaving the sixteenth pole and lasted from an outer pair. GENTLE SOUL laid off of the pace in the two to three path, swung out to the seven path entering the lane, rallied to bid for place passing the sixteenth pole, dueled for that position with an inner co-bidder while closing in on the tiring leader late, and prevailed while running out of ground. SIVAKO trailed along the inside, ralllied in the four path and between horses into the final furlong, sustained progress while battling for place with an outer rival late but missed that position. INTERSTELLAR set the pace along the inside, built a clear margin before taking the far turn in the three path, shfited out to the five path entering the lane, moved back inwardly while meeting an inner challenge coming to midstretch, got bested by that bidder leaving the furlong grounds, drifted outwardly at the sixteenth pole and yielded between place-bidders late. TWOKO BAY saved ground in midpack, then improved between horses late. BATTLE SCARS pursued from midpack two wide, then between horses around the far turn, but shifted out to the five to six path into the lane and faded. X J RASCAL (IRE) pressed outside of the leader, chased that one from the three path around the far turn and weakened. PROWLING TIGER stalked the top pair from the three path, chased three deep around the far turn and weakened while getting floated to the six path entering the lane.
