Chart notes
SEAPORT LANE showed the way along the inside, met an outer pressing foe's challenge around the turn, shook free of that one leaving upper stretch and held sway from an outer pursuer while under a drive. PINFIRE raced forwardly along the inside, stalked the top pair from the two to three path around the turn, took aim outside of them in upper stretch and ran on to prove second best. MAP TO THE STARS broke a beat slow, pressed outside of the eventual winner into and around the turn, bid turning for home, but was repelled in upper stretch, lost place to an outer rival at the furlong grounds and safely managed show. LUCKY ROMANCE trailed in the four path, shifted out to the six path into the lane and moved up to reach fourth at the wire. SAINT PETER'S BAY broke a step slow, saved ground off of the pace, gained fourth from an outer rival entering the lane but lacked further progress and lost that position at the wire. COMANCHE WARRIOR tracked from midpack in the four path and faded. ONCOMING TRAIN lacked speed in the five to seven path and got outrun.
