SOUNDBITE coaxed from the gate, raced just off the inside through the first turn before settling three wide down the backstretch just off the pace, advanced on the front from the nine-sixteenths to the half mile pole tucking to the two path inside that station forcing her barn and stable mate to steady out, seized command near the seven-sixteenths and showed the way taking the inside route into upper stretch before being roused straightened away, edged away under a drive to the eighth pole, dug in under lone threat and was caught seventy yards from the finish while safe for the place honors. BACKSTRETCH ROSE five then four wide into the first turn, tucked briefly three then two wide before tipping back out four paths off the rail into the backstretch, chased four then three wide coming under encouragement three furlongs from home, spun two to three wide into upper stretch and ran on to secure the show honors. LOOKS FIRST established the front from the gate and showed the way in hand along the inside under some pressure from MAGIC EIGHT BALL to the outside, had that rival advance and take narrow command near the five and a half furlong marker and dueled along the inside of that foe down the backstretch to the half mile pole, got displaced from the front by SOUNDBITE near the seven-sixteenths and chased through the turn tipping three wide into upper stretch, then weakened in the drive. MAGIC EIGHT BALL coaxed from the gate, raced forwardly placed three then two wide through the first turn before advancing to poke a head in front with five and a half furlongs remaining, dueled from the two path with the aforementioned foe to the half mile pole, had SOUNDBITE tuck inwards from the outside and was forced to steady out inside that station, faded through the turn and went four to five wide into upper stretch, then got eased home through to the finish. SOUTHAMPTON DOCK broke out at the start bumping DAZZY, chased along the inside through the first turn and then two to three wide thereafter coming under urging at the three-eighths, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and was eased home from the three-sixteenths through to the wire.
