Chart notes
MIDNIGHT BLAZE trailed the short field in the two path, launched a rally swinging four wide entering the lane, sustained gradual progress to close in on the embattled leading pair in the final furlong, ranged up to offer a bid in the closing stages and was up in time. AMADORA'S EMPIRE set the pace as an outer rival applied pressure early on, vied with that one down the backstretch and around the far turn, gamely clung to an advantage as the battle persisted through the lane, led late but got nailed by an outer bidder at the wire. CAROLINA SMOKESHOW prompted two wide, vied down the backstretch, dueled around the far turn, battled on through the final furlong but was turned away and got outkicked by an outer rival late. FUN TO RUN tracked three wide, applied mild pressure outside of the leading pair, then gave way entering the lane. CHATTANOOGA CREW stalked along the inside, chased nearing the lane and faded.
