Chart notes
NATIONAL DIAMOND set the pace under mild early pressure, repelled the bid of the presser on the turn, quickly opened a clear advantage in upper stretch and was unchallenged through the lane. CHLOES ANGEL tracked the leaders through the turn from four wide through the turn and rallied in the lane to be second best. CITY SIGNS well placed in striking distance along the inside on the turn, angled five wide to the clear turning for home and kept on through the lane as best of the rest. VILLAGE CAT pressed the pace into the turn, rallied three wide to challenge nearing the quarter pole, failed to pass the winner with that bid and weakened through the lane flattening out. GAIL'S DANCER was not a factor. COWCHI missed the timing of the break when lunging just prior to the bell, hesitated in the stall when the gates did open giving the field five lengths and lost all chance from there.
