Chart notes
RED HEAD KID tracked the pace to midway on the turn, commenced a steady advance, split rivals in upper stretch to engage the pacesetters at the eighth pole, took a short lead while drifting in a bit down the lane and prevailed in a drive. OKLAHOMA JOE pressed the pace down the backside, took command with an early bid into the turn, angled to the inside on the bend while on a briefly clear lead, responded when challenged in upper stretch and battled willingly to the wire claiming foul against the drifting in winner while never actually impeded. SPEEDY MOBILE unhurried in the early going to be the trailer, rallied on the bend while circling six wide with a steday gain and was gaining belatedly in the lane. HARTSTEIN hustled early to be up on the pace, dropped off the leaders while continuing to chase through the turn and went evenly without impact. ZAKARIA set the early pace under pressure, surrendered the lead to the early bid of the runner-up, tipped out around that one to re-bid at the quarter pole, dueled on the lead to mid-stretch and flattened out late. ROLL ON BIG O was not a factor. THE RIDER OF THE RUNNER-UP CLAIMED FOUL FOR INTERFERENCE LATE IN THE STRETCH BY THE WINNER, UPON REVIEW THE STEWARDS MADE NO CHANGE.
