Chart notes
YANKEE HUMOR showed good speed away from the start and assumed early command, set a solid pace while clear into the turn, dictated terms to the quarter marker, drifted to the three path into upper stretch then kept to task into the final furlong, held a clear lead into the final sixteenth, was geared down in deep stretch then just lasted for the win at the wire. BIG STICK unhurried early on while outside of rivals, roused four wide into the stretch, finished well in the final sixteenth and just missed for the win, while besting the rest. CASSANO unhurried while saving ground early on, made a steady advance while saving ground to the top of the stretch, angled out at the furlong marker then closed well late to earn the show honors. DIXON TUFF a step slow leaving the start then settled off of the solid early pace, tracked two to three wide nearing the quarter marker, swung five wide into the lane, was gaining in deep stretch and just missed for the show. MIDNIGHT KID settled off of the solid early pace, trailed into the stretch then was caught in traffic at the furlong grounds, mounted a late bid along the rail into the final sixteenth then needed more in deep stretch. UNUSUAL WIN chased the solid early pace, ran in pursuit two to three wide nearing the quarter marker, stayed on into the stretch, could not find the needed late response then weakened. CLASSIC RUNNER hit the gate then took up between runners leaving the start, settled and saved ground into the turn, advanced into the stretch then flattened out late. KOBE W sent to be prominent early, stalked the solid pace while saving ground into the turn, chased from the two path into upper stretch then tired in the drive.
