Chart notes
QUINT'S BREW rated back off foes leaving the chute then angled out, exchanged a bump with MR. ANTONELLI when pulling his way between runners, engaged PRINCE OF JERICHO three wide from his outside near the five eighths, prompted that one under confident handling into and around the turn, forged clear when given his cue entering the lane then powered away through the final furlong while under mild hand encouragement. CELTIC CONTENDER attended the early pace inside rivals, eased back a bit near the half and tracked, worked outward to be about three wide into the stretch, then finished up with good energy to be second best. PRINCE OF JERICHO held a slim lead between runners heading to the five eighths, secured the inside nearing the turn, was hounded by the winner around the turn, ceded command approaching the stretch, stayed on with willing pursuit past mid stretch then faded through the final seventy yards. MR. ANTONELLI, bumped with the inner advancing winner leaving the three quarter pole, regrouped and was forwardly placed outside a rival, came under a hearty ride trying to keep pace past the five sixteenths, failed to punch on entering the lane and weakened. UNION FLEET broke a step slow, saved ground while well off the pace mid turn then failed to generate a rally. CIRCLE P settled in the clear and off the inside, gained three to four wide past the five sixteenths, lacked a further response entering the stretch and gave way.
