Chart notes

VINO COURAGIO tracked in behind the early leaders saving ground along the rail through the first turn, moved through to take the lead about the five-eighths racing just off the fence, was clear soon after but shadowed in pursuit by several foes, given some encouragement on the far turn and stronger urging by the top of the stretch, shook free of rivals to move clear again and held sway while being kept busy to the wire. HYPER VENOM bumped with a foe just after the start then early while entering the first turn, shifted in a bit from five wide to nearer the rail on that turn for the run up the backstretch, tracked inside through the far turn saving ground and was niggled along late on that bend, put to full urging while shifting out in upper stretch with aim on the leader but could make no headway while clearly second best. GREAT HUNT quickly moved to the early lead setting the tempo from off the rail, was overtaken by an inside foe, shadowed just off that one's flank into and on the far turn, was floated three to four wide turning for home, proved no match for the top pair but was best of the rest. MYWIFEHASAGUN had incidental brushing at the start, chased four wide into the first turn, continued mid-pack ridden along by the far turn, drifted in a bit in upper stretch and failed to rally. HIGH WATER MARK exchanged a light bump after the start then entering the first turn about the seven-eighths pole racing six deep, was kept wide in the five to six path mostly thereafter and well back of the leaders, encouraged on the far turn but failed to menace. DEVIL OF RAMADI exchanged incidental contact at the start, was forwardly-positioned chasing three wide, dropped back while moving in a bit and steadily retreated.
