Chart notes
GODDESS MINERVA set the early tempo along the inside, was pressured then overtaken nearing the five-eighths but continued to attend from inside, retook command past the three-eighths, was challenged by a new rival outside turning for home, dug in under steady but moderate urging and held that foe to the wire. TOO HOT TO STOP was allowed to settle into stride while caught wide in the early going, advanced up the backstretch stalking into the far turn four wide, took closer order on that bend launching a mild bid by the top of the stretch and drawing nearly even with the winner, dueled through the stretch under an all-out effort but could not get past while clearly second best. REPAYNT had forward position in the early going before being taken back under a strong hold, rated up the backstretch dropping back between foes, swung seven wide turning for home, drifted out several more paths in upper stretch, kept on to get up for show honors. UTOPIA ROSE brushed just very lightly with a rival at the start, was in tight between runners early on the first turn steadying slightly past the seven-eighths, was off the leaders racing mostly four to five wide, put to stout urging by the quarter pole but failed to make a bid. JENAS MERCY was caught about three wide heading into the first turn then eased back and shifted in, dropped back into and on the far turn, came out a bit for the drive and passed some tired rivals. HARD SPICE was keen but moved forward pressing the eventual winner early, put a head in front to force the issue from the five-eighths till about the three-eighths, came up empty in the stretch. KOZAK SPIRIT was just lightly brushed at the start, dropped back and tucked in bringing up the rear, saved ground on both turns to no avail.
