Chart notes
J. P. RACE broke on top, cleared toward the inside, showed the way through the first turn, two path up the backstretch, came three wide for the drive, held the runner up at bay under steady handling to the wire while drifting out. VITTORIO moved inside late in the first turn, chased up the backstretch, moved back out into the far bend, came four wide when herded out a bit by the winner turning for home, slowly getting to that one late. HAYES STRIKE behind the pace toward the inside early, steered out four wide far turn when beginning a mild advance, prove no match for the top pair in the drive, clear of the other two. UNSTABLE PRINCE was never dangerous while racing off the inside. NULLARBOR bobbled at the break, advanced to race closest to the leader before a quarter, slight bother into the far turn, began a steady fade soon after.
