Chart notes
COASTAL COWGIRL hit the gate the gate, accelerated quickly to take control and clear the field, powered away on the inside through the turn, continued to widen when asked a couple times right-handed, then coasted through the final sixteenth. TOM'S STAR was closest in pursuit up the backstretch, lost ground in the two path through the turn and held second. AFFAIR stumbled leaving the gate, stalked in range three wide into the turn, came under a ride while watching the winner kick away around the bend and failed to respond down the lane. SPINNING chased outside TOM'S STAR then checked behind that rival at the nine-sixteenths pole and angled to the rail, saved ground through the turn and was never a factor. SASSY MISCHIEF away quickly then dropped back to last under coaxing, raced along the inside into the turn, eased over to the two path around the bend and was outrun.
