Chart notes
MONGOLIAN MAX stalked along the rail, tipped three wide past the five-sixteenths pole and challenged outside the top pair late on the bend, seized command in upper stretch, put away ALWAYS ON CAY at the eighth pole and was going away. ALWAYS ON CAY sped to the front and moved inside, took pressure from SALTWATER COWBOY then dueled inside that rival up the backstretch and far turn, carried a short lead inside a pair of rivals into the lane, yielded to the winner in upper stretch and kept on for a clear second. LONE SCOUT tracked two then three wide around the clubhouse turn, chased three deep leaving the backstretch, spun four wide into the lane and churned on to earn the show honors. FIREMAN DAN tracked in the two path to the far turn, chased two to three wide leaving the bend and weakened. SALTWATER COWBOY broke a step slow, raced up close to the outside the leader then applied pressure around the bend, raced keenly in hand entering the backstretch drawing on even terms with inner rival, fought two wide through the far turn, vied between rivals entering the lane, yielded shortly after and folded in the final furlong.
