Chart notes
HIGHLY WICKED brushed with an inner foe leaving the gate, then brushed an outer rival entering the first turn, tracked from midpack along the inside, advanced turning for home, tipped to take aim outside of the leader in upper stretch, bid and gained an advantage at the furlong grounds then drove clear. TOMMIE G showed the way along the inside, dictated terms unencumbered down the backstretch and into the far turn, held sway as an outer HIGHLY WICKED took aim in upper stretch, got collared at the furlong grounds, proved no match into the final sixteenth and was second best. CLEARLY A TEST leaned outwardly at the start, got floated wide by an inner rival into the first turn before settling at the rear in the three path, shifted out to the five path down the backstretch, drifted down to the two path while still well back into the lane, yet advanced inside of rivals in midstretch, shifted out and split foes in the four path at the sixteenth pole to bid for show and edged that position late. EYE OF THE PHARAOH tracked in the three path and between horses, got briefly shuffled into the far turn before tucking to the two path, moved out to the four to five path in upper stretch, ran on to bid for show along with an inner rival while flopping back to his left lead at the sixteenth pole, but got outfinished. BOOMIN' BELLE raced off of the pace in the four path and failed to menace. GROUND CONTROL broke a step slow and brushed with an outer foe at the start, stalked along the inside, took aim outside of the leader around the far turn, but chased while being floated out by an inner rival in upper stretch and faded. BOX OF PICTURES stalked outside of the leader, but faded in the three path around the far turn and weakened between horses entering the lane. FORT POLK was brushed by an inner rival and lugged outwardly entering the first turn, laid well back in the two path and made little impact.
