Chart notes
SOVEREIGNTY saved ground off the pace, angled four wide near the seven-sixteenths pole, edged closer around the turn, surged late and was up in the final strides. RIVER THAMES was a bit reluctant to load, pressed the pace in the two path inside of NEOEQUOS around the first turn, angled out down the backstretch, pressed in the three path around the far turn, took the lead turning for home, drew clear in midstretch and led until the final strides. NEOEQUOS set the pace in the three path around the first turn and in the two path rounding the far turn, yielded in upper stretch but kept on inside to hold the show. BURNHAM SQUARE raced off the pace three wide, angled five wide in upper stretch but could only gain mildly. GATE TO WIRE saved ground in range, steadied late on the first turn, dropped back nearing the far turn, re-engaged to make progress at the rail around the far turn but flattened out in the lane. KEEP IT EASY chased the pace three wide, faltered after six furlongs and was eased through the stretch.
