Chart notes
CAPTURE THE FLAG saved ground around the first turn, led the field up the backstretch, continued to show the way while saving ground from there and just held off a closer to the wire. GRAND SONATA raced in the two path early, tracked the leaders between horses down the lane and around the second bend, came around the third turn in the three path and gained ground late to just miss. CASH EQUITY (FR) raced in the two path around the first turn, tracked the leader on the inside from there, saved ground through the second and third turns and gained ground late in the stretch. BE LIKE CLINT raced in the middle of the pack on the outside through the opening mile, continued around the final turn in the three path and improved position from there. ANGLOPHILE was forced to alter outside steadying rivals early, raced in the two path around the first turn, settled at the back of the pack on the rail for the next mile and improved position in the lane. MISSED THE CUT checked sharply early dropping back from mid-pack to last, trailed the field from the two path around the first turn and down the stretch, continued around the next bend still in the two path and passed tiring horses in the lane. CATHKIN PEAK (IRE) raced in the three path early, stalked the leader on the outside through the next half mile, began a bid from the three path coming around the final turn and flattened out in the stretch. SUGOI pressed the pace from the two path the first time by, continued to battle from the two path around the far turn and faded in the lane. PARCHMENT PARTY raced at the back of the of the pack in the three path around the first turn and down the lane, continued around the second turn in the two path, swung out to the four and five path around the last bend and made no bid. KALIK chased the leader on the inside through the opening half mile, raced into traffic and steadied the first time by the wire, settled in the two path from there and tired in the stretch. PREVENT checked sharply early, raced in the two path around the first turn, settled off the pace in the three path from there, came around the last bend in the four path and was empty in the lane.
