Chart notes
FORMIDABLE MAN settled along the inside, moved into range in the middle stages, saved ground to the stretch, rallied up the fence and drove past the top pair in the final twenty yards. ZIO JO stalked the pacesetter in the two path, challenged from outside with a quarter mile remaining, put a head in front at the eighth pole, battled with CABO SPIRIT into deep stretch holding a slim advantage but was overtaken by FORMIDABLE MAN late. CABO SPIRIT cleared the field and steered to the inside, controlled the pace up the backstretch, pressured by ZIO JO at the quarter pole, lost command with a furlong remaining, battled back inside that rival then finished gamely between horses late. ALMENDARES (GB) raced outside a rival at the back, continued two wide on the far turn, tipped out at the top of the stretch, rallied under left then right handed urging and missed third while gaining four deep to the wire. MI HERMANO RAMON unhurried in the opening stages from the rail, trailed into the lane, steered out widest in the drive, closed well from outside but was too late. NEAT raced off the pace in the two path, moved into range on the backstretch, coaxed along two wide on the far turn, asked right handed down the lane but could not produce a bid. AIR FORCE RED away quickly then stalked in hand along the fence, saved ground behind the leader through the far turn, moved off the fence a bit in the lane and weakened in the late stages.
