Chart notes
HANDIN OUT CANDY well placed in the early stages while just off of the pace, stalked three wide to the quarter pole, bid into the stretch then loomed nearing the furlong marker, confronted FLYING GOLD JESS and battled that stubborn runner to the final sixteenth, determinedly gained command in deep stretch and edged away late to prevail. FLYING GOLD JESS vied for the early lead then disputed the pace between runners into the turn, took command at the quarter pole then led into the stretch, met the bid of HANDIN OUT CANDY at the furlong marker, battled that foe to deep stretch then was outfinished in the final yards, while well clear of the rest for the place. DISCREET TIGER chased four to five wide heading to the turn then got caught a bit in tight at the three-eighths marker, shifted in and chased to the quarter pole, angled five wide into upper stretch, could not impact the top pair late but was able to close the gap and got up in time for the show. NOREASON FORDIAMONDS chased the early pace from the inside, was well placed at the quarter pole then tipped two wide into upper stretch, stayed on into the final furlong, was outkicked in the final sixteenth and just missed for the show. FREIGHTRAINSNMONSTRS broke alertly then vied for the early lead from the inside, disputed the pace into the turn, lost position into upper stretch then gave way in the final furlong. HIGH ON CUERVO a step slow leaving the start, recovered and chased between runners into the turn, ran in pursuit five to six wide into upper stretch then lacked the needed late response. ROCKY BAR SIX fractious in the gate, got caught in tight approaching the turn then checked at the three-eighths pole, swung seven to eight wide for the drive and did not threaten in the late stages. EQUILOVE (IRE) chased the early pace from outside of runners, advanced four wide nearing the quarter marker, could not sustain that run into the stretch then tired in the final sixteenth.
