Chart notes
MASAKADO set a pressured pace from the first turn through the final bend, dueled with the presser through the lane and edged clear late in the lane in a determined effort. THRU THE VINE pressed the pace into the first turn from three wide, continued to pressure the winner to the far turn, rallied to draw nearly even at the quarter pole, battled down the lane gamely, drifted out late and just failed to get passed the winner while holding off the closer to retain the place. ATKINS reserved off the leaders to be near the rear of the field into the final turn, swung wide with a steady advance, rallied through the lane while coming in a bit late in the lane and was gaining at the wire belatedly. ONE TEN stalked the pace for three-quarters, mounted a bid turning for home from between rivals in upper stretch, lugged out in mid-stretch, was in tight quarters late in the lane while weakening prior to the trouble. DOWNTOWN CONNECTOR trailed most of the way never posing a threat. BIG ROWDY DAN tracked the leaders to the top of the lane and lacked a response when called upon for the drive. THE STEWARDS POSTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH RUN AND UPON REVIEW MADE NO CHANGE.
