Chart notes
OOPSIE DOOPSIE stalked the pace through the turn, circled five wide with a steady rally down the lane and wore the leaders down inside the sixteenth pole to be going away late. DIVINE MARTHA prompted the early pace down the backside, settled off the pacesetter on the turn, rallied in upper stretch to engage the leader inside the eighth pole, took a very brief lead late and was out-finished late in a good effort. VARTON broke alertly to take command from the gate, maintained the lead under pressure down the backstretch, opened a clear lead on the turn, dug-in through the lane when challenged and weakened in the fiinal fifty yards. GRACE AND GLORY raced mid-pack throughout failing to menace the top trio while being best of the rest. SWEET SERENADE trailed down the backside and was never a threat going one-paced. SMOOKIE raced in contention briefly, dropped to the rear of the field on the bend and was outrun.
