Chart notes

FENWICK JACK outrun early, moved up on the rail in the early stages, advanced on the backside, waited for room while saving ground from the seven sixteenths to five sixteenths marker, came through with a strong run on the rail, took charge, drew clear, drifted out past the eighth pole and was kept to the task. ALILNALOT vied inside for the lead, took over on the backside, was no match for the winner, then dug in and held well for second. BIG JOHN was outrun early, moved up entering the turn, angled out, went four wide past the quarter pole and rallied mildly outside for third. RUN CORY RUN tracked on the inside, chased two wide on the far turn and tired. DUDLEY DICKERSON stalked two wide, chased between rivals on the far turn and faded. DANCE A DINI raced four wide early, settled off the rail, off the pace and did not factor. OCTOBER BLISS vied outside for the early lead, then chased three wide and gave way.
