Chart notes
JUDY'S COMET stalked the pace from the inside to the quarter pole, engaged the leaders cutting the corner turning for home, opened a clear advantage in upper stretch and held the closing runner-up safe. DOCS LEGEND unhurried early to be near the back of the field, rallied steadily midway on the turn, closed ground on the outside down the lane and found best stride late to be gaining belatedly in the final hundred yards. A VAN ON THE RUN was slow early to trail, rallied while circling eight wide turning for home and showed good late interest to be along for the show. RUNAWAY POWER rated in mid-pack for the first quarter mile, made a bold middle move to be prominent turning for home and flattened out in the stretch. BUCKEYE TAKEOVER raced up the outside to set a pressured pace to the head of the lane and weakened coming home. MOR STORMY was one-paced going evenly without impact. DR. JOBO'S DAY broke inward to the rail leaving the gate, raced up into contention down the bakside and dropped back through the turn never posing a valid threat. MY BABY BULLET chased the early pace down the backstretch and faded on the turn.
