Chart notes
TIME TRAVELIN rated nicely away from the start, stalked the pace three wide heading to the turn, asked for run into the turn and vied for the lead at the quarter pole, took command into the lane then drew away under steady late urging. RIGHT IN FRONT hustled to be forwardly placed early on, went up and disputed the pace heading to the turn, took command into the bend and dueled to the quarter pole, lost the lead to TIME TRAVELIN into upper stretch, was no match for the winner into the final sixteenth and stayed on well late to be second best. RUNDOFT a step slow leaving the start, rushed up and stalked the pace four wide to the turn, loomed at the quarter pole, was outkicked in the stretch drive and stayed on to be clear for third. JOHN JOHN bobbled then was squeezed at the start and was off slowly, saved ground into the turn, maintained an inside path into the stretch and passed tiring rivals late. VOLS tracked the early pace from between runners, chased five wide into the turn, lacked the needed response into the lane then gave way in the final furlong. NESARA allowed to settle while never far back in the early going, chased six wide into the turn, could not keep pace into the stretch and weakened in the final furlong. STELLA BOY showed speed in the early stages and vied for the lead heading to the half-mile pole, lost position into the turn, lacked a response into the stretch and faltered. NOGAL CANYON took back off of the early pace, was guided two then three wide along the turn, trailed while four wide into upper stretch and was not a factor in the late stages. RUNNING BEAR sent in the early going, vied for the lead into the turn, dropped back nearing the quarter marker, stopped into upper stretch, was eased through the lane and walked off under his own power.
