BAD SNEAKERS rated inside always close up, responded when asked to go from the five-sixteenths, came three wide into the stretch, had some trouble with the lead change while trying to chase down an inside foe, got straightened out in the final yards and edged clear. BLUES RAPPER was allowed to settle from the break, went three wide through the first turn, advanced from the back of the main pack taking an inside path through the far turn, loomed a big threat passing the furlong marker but was outfinished by the winner in the late stages. ROSENQUIST was sent hard from the break and made the lead on the first turn, set the pace down the backstretch with ANOTHERBOTTLE keeping closest to the half-mile marker, was still in hand at the top of the stretch but gave way readily when challenged by the top two but managed to save third. REGAL REDWOOD raced at the back of the forward group not too far from the lead, settled between horses down the backstretch, ranged up to put pressure on ROSENQUIST near the seven-sixteenths pole then had to be ridden to keep up through the far turn, came three wide into the stretch and finished evenly far clear of the next finisher. HOLLYWOOD HERO showed no speed from the start despite the best efforts of the rider, lagged far back in last and passed some tired ones. TALK OF THE TOWN went five wide through the clubhouse turn, tracked in the middle of the strung out field through the middle stages, the made a mild bid on the far turn, came four wide into the stretch but flattened out. BIG STICK was devoid of early speed and raced at the back of the pack very far behind through the first half, launched a sustained rally from the seven-sixteenths pole but ran out of steam before the stretch and was never a threat. CHICKNFINGERFRIDAY raced near the back of the pack then had nothing to offer late. ATTAIN got forward position three wide through the first turn then stalked the pace down the backstretch, did not respond when asked to go on with three furlongs to run and was not persevered with when hopelessly beaten. ANOTHERBOTTLE pressed the pace for a half-mile then struggled to keep up after that was taken to the far outside on the far tun and eased in the stretch.
