FORWARD MOVE was hustled from the gate then urged along on the outside, chased in the four path for most of the turn then dropped to three path, remained on his inside lead until inside the three-sixteenths pole then swapped to the proper lead when shifted in some by the rider, came out when given one pop of a left-handed crop inside the furlong marker, gained to get the lead approaching the sixteenth-pole and held under a strong hand-ride to the finish. AMUNDSON settled off the pace, saved ground on the turn, dropped back while hesitantly ridden behind a foe late on that bend, moved off the rail while roused outside the quarter-pole, angled out in upper stretch then came further out under a left-handed crop, rallied into the final furlong and closed well but was too late while clear for the place. STEWIE was hustled to the front then set the pace under pressure to his outside, vied in the two path for most of the turn then dropped to the rail, came under a left-handed crop in upper stretch, lost the advantage to the winner outside the sixteenth-pole and weakened while just able to get the show. SCARAMANGA pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the three path for most of the turn then moved to the two path, battled under a drive into the final sixteenth and tired. PERSISTENT DANGER dropped back while urged along then fell well behind, moved from the two path to the four path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the five path and failed to threaten. POP COYER showed speed between horses then chased the pace, dropped back in tight quarters leaving the backstretch, moved from the two path to the three path on the turn, spun into the stretch in the four path while under the crop and lacked the needed response. EXCELLENT TIMING was urged along off the pace, dropped from the three path to the two path early on the turn then chased the leader, moved to the rail late on that bend, shifted back off the rail in upper stretch and came up empty.
