Chart notes
SHORT SHIFT got bumped at the start by EASTERN STAR, who broke outwards, showed the way in hand just off the inside under some pressure from SHAMAN PRINCESS to the outside, tucked inside through the turn, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and was let out for the drive with three-sixteenths to go, drew clear to the eighth pole, held clear to the finish. SHAMAN PRINCESS grew a bit fractious prior to the start and broke open her stall door, prompted the pace of SHORT SHIFT three then two wide coming under coaxing at the three-eighths, angled three to four wide into upper stretch, ran on to chase the winner home well clear of the rest and along second best. MIA NIPOTINA chased five then four wide coming under coaxing at the seven-sixteenths, went seven wide into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick. DREAM ON CARA chased just off the inside and then along the inside coming under coaxing at the seven-sixteenths, swung three wide into upper stretch, offered no response. EASTERN STAR broke out at the start, chased four then three wide coming under urging at the three-eighths, swung four wide into upper stretch, made no headway. TROUBLED LUCK hustled from the gate, chased along the inside and then just off the inside under encouragement from the three-eighths pole, angled out five to six wide into upper stretch, tired.
