Chart notes
SMOKE STACK took back after the start, was well placed into the backstretch run, tracked the pace while saving ground to the far turn, waited for racing room at the quarter pole, split foes into upper stretch then drew away under late hand urging. BIG HOPES stalked the pace into the backstretch run, bid between rivals into the far turn, was no match for the winner into the stretch drive and stayed on late to be best of the rest. ATTILA'S ACE tracked the early pace three to four wide, bid at the quarter marker, needed more into the stretch drive and was clear in the end for third. COMFORTS JAZEL allowed to settle away from the start, raced four wide into the first turn, shifted to the inside into the second turn then gained ground into the stretch, could not sustain that run into the late stages and passed tiring rivals in deep stretch. EVERYROSEHASATHORN broke alertly and contested the pace into the first turn, disputed decent fractions while two to three wide up the backstretch, battled into the far turn then stayed on into upper stretch, could not match strides into the final furlong and gave way late. ANGELA'S ANGEL allowed to settle, raced two to three wide into the first turn, trailed to the quarter pole, went wide into upper stretch and did not threaten late. COPPER STATE settled three to four wide into the first turn, trailed up the backstretch, chased from the inside then two wide nearing the quarter pole then was not a factor in the stretch drive. ZACH WHO was hard to load prior to the start then broke slowly, settled five to six wide into the first turn, maintained a wide path while advancing up the backstretch, chased five to six wide nearing the quarter pole then gave way in the lane. MIDEVIL MAYHEM contested the pace from the inside, battled into the second turn, lost position nearing the quarter pole then tired in the stretch. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE START INVOLVING ZACH WHO. THE STEWARDS DETERMINED ZACH WHO CAUSED HIS OWN ISSUES AT THE START AND THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
