LET HIM BE broke alertly, ceded the early lead then tracked the pace heading to the half-mile pole, went up and pressed three wide into the turn, dueled LEAVE THEM BEHIND to the quarter marker then vied for the lead into upper stretch, battled the stubborn LEAVE THEM BEHIND to the final sixteenth, found more into deep stretch and drew clear late. LEAVE THEM BEHIND sent to assume early command, showed good speed and set the pace to the turn, was pressured along the bend by LET HIM BE, met the bid of that rival into upper stretch then battled to the final sixteenth, yielded to the winner in deep stretch and just held for the place at the wire. MARKING CANYON took back off of the early pace, tracked four to five wide nearing the quarter marker, was roused five to six wide into upper stretch, closed into the final sixteenth and just missed for the place, while holding safely in the end for the show. HIGHER ED forwardly placed away from the start, tracked the pace while saving ground to the turn, was well placed at the quarter pole, chased into the stretch, was outkicked into the final sixteenth then was outfinished late for the show. PROBATE tracked the early pace from between runners, was caught in tight past the half-mile marker and was shuffled back nearing the seven-sixteenths pole, chased three then two wide into the turn then re-rallied into the stretch, could not sustain that run into the late stages and passed tired rivals in deep stretch. DAVE'S ENCHANTMENT a step slow away from the start, was allowed to settle while never far back, trailed to the quarter pole then swung four to five wide for the drive, could not threaten the leaders into deep stretch and offered a mild late rally. SAMBAS MARK chased the early pace three wide and between runners, lost position into the turn then ran in pursuit nearing the quarter marker, spun four wide into upper stretch then had little left in the drive. TUCUM tracked the early pace from outside of rivals, chased four to five wide into the turn, was well placed at the quarter pole, lost position into upper stretch then gave way through the lane. SIDEWINDER SLICK forwardly placed in the early going while between runners, was caught in tight past the half-mile pole and took up nearing the seven-sixteenths marker, lost position into the turn, chased from the inside approaching the quarter pole, could not muster a response in the stretch then tired in the drive.
