Chart notes
BLUE FIRE set the pace while remaining a path off of the inside, inched free reaching the lane, then held sway under a drive. MARGIE'S INTENTION tracked from midpack two wide, moved to the four path into the backstretch, chased from the four path around the far turn before drifting to the five path entering the lane, ran on in pursuit in the final furlong, dueled for place with an inner foe in the final sixteenth and prevailed. CANAL STREET leaned outwardly leaving the gate, settled off of the pace along the inside, tracked behind the main group around the far turn, shifted three wide and between rivals entering upper stretch, ran on to bid for place along with an outer foe at the sixteenth pole, dueled with that one for that position late, but missed. POWDERED SUGAR tracked along the inside, pursued from the pocket around the far turn, claimed place from an outer foe entering the lane, but only managed to chase the leader before yielding to an outer pair leaving the sixteenth pole. LOLA AND ROSE lagged behind in the three path around the first turn, improved position in the four to three path around the far turn before swinging out to the six path into the lane, and made little impact. WARRIOR'S JUSTICE stalked in the four path before moving to press the leader from the three path into the backstretch, but faded between horses entering the lane. GRACEFUL STAR raced forwardly in the three path and between horses around the first turn but steadily faded thereafter and was eased through the lane.
