Chart notes

CURLS NITE OUT settled in third position, never more than two or three lengths back, launched a three wide bid from the three-eighths pole, took a short lead in upper stretch then held sway under strong handling and urging to prevail. STARINA settled off the pace for the first half-mile then advanced steadily late on the backstretch and through the far turn, went four wide through the far turn, had aim on the lead in the stretch and was gaining late but ran out of time. MO SMOKING was sent forward from the break then stalked BEADS to the far turn, battled from between horses down the stretch but was outfinished in the late stages. BEADS was hustled from the start and gained the lead on the first run with MO SMOKING stalking to the outside, set very slow early fractions while leading the field to the far turn, was under a stiff drive leaving the quarter pole but could not keep up in the stretch while being kept to task. TALL GIRL steadied into the first turn when STARINA cut over to the rail before the first bend, dropped far behind early then continued to lose ground while being outrun.
