SWEET RIVER BAINES broke alertly then ceded the early lead, stalked the pace three wide into the turn, bid four wide into the stretch then responded to steady urging through the lane, took command into the final sixteenth and held late to prove best. BYE BYE LIAM sent to dispute the decent early pace, engaged IMA BLING CAT and dueled inside of that runner into the turn, continued to battle that foe into the stretch, was overtaken by the winner into the final sixteenth and held well in deep stretch for second. IMA BLING CAT showed good speed away from the start, engaged BYE BYE LIAM and dueled outside of that runner into the turn, stubbornly battled that foe into the stretch, was outkicked into the final sixteenth and was well clear of the rest for the show. OTTOMAN EMPIRE was void of early speed and trailed into the turn, gained ground into the stretch, could not sustain that run to the final sixteenth and flattened out. LEWIS BERE (FR) settled just off of the decent early pace, saved ground while tracking the dueling leaders nearing the quarter marker, chased into the stretch then could not muster the needed late response.
