Chart notes
MACAW tracked the pace on the outside, chased in the three then two path on the turn, gained to get the lead in the three path into upper stretch, shook clear while remaining on her inside lead inside the three-sixteenths pole, swapped to the proper lead outside the furlong marker, was put to a left-handed crop inside that marker and held under steady urging. VERY SATISFACTORY bobbled just after the start, was urged early then moved up and settled in third position, raced in the two then three path while roused on the turn, turned into the stretch in the four path and willingly earned the place. REMEMBER THE CHIEF settled well back on the outside, was roused in the four path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the five path while under the crop, remained on his inside lead in the drive and improved to get the show. MANO E MANO broke alertly and went straight to the front, showed the way down the backstretch, dropped from the two path to the rail very early on the turn, was roused under threat late on that bend, lost the advantage to the winner into upper stretch and weakened then was caught for the show. WELL SUITED dropped back under urging, moved in with about five furlongs to run, saved ground on the turn and lacked the needed response. NOBLE ONE came away in good order but dropped back quickly while showing no speed, traveled around the turn in the two path and was no factor.
