Chart notes
CHILLED stalked behind the leading pair and from the two path into the backstretch, split those foes to issue a bid with five sixteenths to run, led nearing the lane before inching clear in upper stretch, but lugged out severely in the final furlong and bothered an outer bidder, then narrowly held from that persistent rival late. SERENE SERAPH (IRE) tilted away from an inner rival while subtly last away leaving the gate, trailed comfortably in the two path, gained eye-catchingly between horses turning for home, tipped three wide to loom a danger outside of the leaders entering upper stretch, pursued into the final furlong, but steadied while shying and being forced outwardly by an inner rival nearing the final sixteenth, recovered to sustain progress on her left lead in the late stages but missed at the wire. JUST BETTER leaned outwardly at the start, showed the way along the inside, got headed by an outer bidder with a quarter mile to go and kept on. BROUGHTY FERRY tracked in the three path, chased the rest around the far turn and failed to menace. SWEET CHABLIS leaned outwardly leaving the gate, prompted outside of the leader and from the three path, but failed to sustain pressure three deep turning for home and faded in the four to five path entering the lane. THE RIDER OF SERENE SERAPH (IRE) CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST CHILLED ALLEGING INTERFERENCE IN THE FINAL FURLONG. FOLLOWING THE OBJECTION, AS WELL AS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REVIEWING THE MATTER, CHILLED WAS DISQUALIFED AND PLACED SECOND.
