Chart notes
MISSIN HOLLYWOOD sent to contest the early pace, engaged with CLAY'S BLACK OPAL and disputed the pace inside of that rival heading to the half-mile marker, dueled into the turn then dug in and led into upper stretch, held foes at bay past mid-stretch, was unyielding in the final sixteenth and held at the wire for a determined win. CLAY'S BLACK OPAL prominent away from the start, engaged with MISSIN HOLLYWOOD and disputed the pace outside of that rival heading to the half-mile pole, dueled three wide into the turn, lost position into upper stretch then re-bid at the furlong marker, battled gamely to the final sixteenth, could not get by the determined winner late and held safely in the end for second. RED DIRT RICH broke alertly then ceded the early lead, stalked the pace two wide and between runners into the turn, swung six wide into upper stretch and made a steady gain into the final furlong, could not reel in the top pair late and was clear of the rest for third. PEPPERMINT CANDY forwardly placed early on while inside of runners, stalked the contested pace while saving ground into the turn, chased from the inside into upper stretch, ran on to the final sixteenth and could not muster the needed late response. RUN FIRE RUN tracked the early pace from outside of runners, bid three wide and between foes into the turn, gave chase into upper stretch, could not find more into the final furlong and faded late. MANNY'S KAT settled away from the gate then rushed up inside of rivals heading to the half-mile marker, chased off of the rail into the turn then was caught in tight between runners midway through the bend, lost position nearing the quarter marker then gave way in the stretch drive. SALT CREEK KID allowed to settle early on while never far back, was widest into the turn then mounted a bid four deep nearing the quarter pole, lost position into the stretch then tired in the final furlong.
