Chart notes
CERTIFIED LOVERBOY coaxed from the gate, advanced after the start to take command with five and a half furlongs to go, showed the way in hand just off the inside down the backstretch and then along the inside through the turn getting a nudge with five-sixteenths to run, spun just off the inside into upper stretch set down for the drive, edged away under a drive and was kept to task to the finish. DR. KRAFT chased three wide until tucked inside half a mile from home, came under coaxing at the three-eighths, continued in the inside route into upper stretch, offered up a mild kick to be along well clear of the rest and second best. MR. PAPAGIORGIO led early on before being displaced from command five and a half furlongs out, chased four then two wide under a ride with three furlongs to run, spun three wide into upper stretch, weakened in the final furlong. AUGUSTINE RED coaxed from the start, chased four to five paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked inside through the turn getting placed to urging with seven-sixteenths to go, cornered two to three wide at the head of the stretch and tired. STOLEN BASE was unprepared for the start when the assistant starter wasn't yet set when the latch was sprung, chased five then four wide coming under encouragement at the seven-sixteenths, went four to five wide at the top of the stretch and tired.
