Chart notes

WESTEROS mutually and lightly bumped with HOLDEN MICHAEL at the start, then was pushed to vie three wide for the early lead, assumed command from the five furlong marker while keeping off the rail, led the field into the stretch, responded to steady handling and urging and held a rival safe to the wire. RAGNOW tracked the trio contesting the early lead through the first half mile, advanced before the far turn to loom three wide just off the lead, chased WESTEROS through the turn and into the stretch, finished willingly under strong handling and urging but could not get to that rival. MY LAST ESCAPADE vied between horses early, was left to duel WESTEROS down the backstretch and through the far turn, remained a factor to the top of the stretch then tired but was able hold third by a clear margin back to the next finisher. BLACK RUSSIAN was last into the first turn, raced in the rear of the pack then lacked the necessary response in the late stages. HOLDEN MICHAEL took a light bump from RAGNOW at the start then went two to three wide through the first turn, trailed the field down the backstretch, then started to run on a bit from the far turn and lugged in through the stretch. BERKUS (FR) contested the early pace from the inside, dropped off the pace turning on to the backstretch then struggled to keep up through the far turn and was unable to factor in the outcome.
