Chart notes
GUN RUNNER CHARLIE tracked three deep down the backstretch, was under a stiff ride from the half, advanced three wide through the far turn, came under heavy pressure while on the wrong lead in the stretch but wore down BIG STETSON in the final yards to prevail. BIG STETSON broke outward but was one of the first to the front, dueled inside of EL ENCANTO to the stretch, got the best of that foe passing the quarter pole, finished well under strong handling and intermittent urging but could not hold off the winner. REBELLIOUS RED stumbled after the break, rushed up into the early pace mix then took up before the half-mile pole, recovered to chase the pacesetting pair into the stretch, had trouble changing leads but managed to run on and grab the third position. G G GILLEY tracked well off the pace two or three paths off the rail, came under pressure in upper stretch and was mildly gaining late. CAGEY BURGLAR broke in and was slow into stride, dropped a long way back through the early stages, cut the corner and was kept to task and managed to improve. EL ENCANTO broke well, dueled two deep to the stretch then weakened. R BARRACUDA was outrun from the break and chased throughout, rider drop the crop near the quarter pole. EAGLES DARE saved ground, was making a mild run up the rail in the stretch, took up inside the sixteenth and could not recover.
