Chart notes

COASTAL JAZZ sent to assume early command, set a prompted pace while well handled up the backstretch, kicked clear into the far turn, held sway into upper stretch then kept to task through the lane while pulling away late. RUGGS tracked the early pace while three wide, attended to the pace up the backstretch run, chased COASTAL JAZZ while two to three wide nearing the quarter marker, could not keep pace with the winner into the stretch drive and held well late for the place. BENDER lacked early speed then lagged into the backstretch, roused while widest into the far turn, mounted a six to seven wide rally into upper stretch and closed the gap to earn the show honors. DEAN'S LIST allowed to settle early on, tracked the pace from the inside up the backstretch, chased while saving ground to the second turn, angled three to four wide into upper stretch, weakened in the lane and was outfinished for third in the final strides. AZTEC SUN prominent away from the start, ceded the early lead to COASTAL JAZZ then stalked that runner into the backstretch, chased from the inside into the second turn, lacked a response into upper stretch and gave way. ALOTALUCK tracked the early pace from the inside, shifted out along the first turn and tracked three deep up the backstretch, chased three then four wide nearing the quarter pole, got floated five wide into upper stretch, could not find more in the lane and faltered in the late stages. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate final time available. Internal fractions have been removed and are unavailable.
