HANDMEDOWN D'ORO broke alertly and was sent to the early lead, set the pace from the inside along the first turn, controlled the pace while well handled up the backstretch, led into the second turn then dug in when challenged at the quarter pole, shook free in the stretch, kept to task through the lane and drew clear in the final yards. BYE BYE RUSS prominent in the early stages, chased the pace three wide into the first turn then drifted out a path along that bend, settled into the backstretch run, saved ground to the far turn then re-rallied four wide into the lane, could not reel in the winner into the late stages and stayed on to best the rest. RAIL RUNNER a bit slow into stride away from the start, was unhurried in the early stages, navigated traffic while advancing along the second turn, angled out for the stretch drive, rallied in the late stages and was up in time to earn the show. RAPPING RUMOR caught a bit tight into the first turn, recovered and settled while saving ground into the backstretch, made a steady gain to the second turn then gave chase three wide nearing the quarter pole, was outkicked into the stretch and could not muster a late rally. SGT MUSKETT raced a bit in tight into the first turn, chased the pace two wide into the backstretch, well placed while saving ground heading to the far turn, bid at the quarter marker then battled into upper stretch then weakened in the late stages. DESERT WATCH settled two wide into the first turn, advanced three to four wide along the second turn, swung five to six wide into upper stretch then flattened out late. RIG IT RIGHT settled while saving ground early on, made a steady gain while saving ground to the second turn, could not sustain that run into the stretch and flattened out. SLEEPY EYES chased the early pace from between runners, attended to the pace up the backstretch, stopped along the second turn, was eased through the lane and walked off under his own power. LUCKY MONEY close up in the early going, was floated five wide along the first turn, chased the pace up the backstretch, tired along the second turn, was eased through the lane then walked off under his own power. FEIST forwardly placed early on while between runners, tucked in and tracked the pace while saving ground into the first turn, dropped back along the backstretch, was eased through the lane and walked off under his own power. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate final time available. Internal fractions have been removed and are unavailable.
