Chart notes

JUNGLE CAT was last into the first turn and settled far back through the early stages, never managed a rally and finished far behind the rest. ARDIS was roused from the break and easily made the front end going into the first turn, led the way through solid fractions to the far turn, then gave way readily late on the far turn and had little left to offer late. CAT ATTACK content to track the pacesetter to the outside under light restraint, bid for the lead leaving the three furlong pole, took a short lead approaching the quarter pole, had no response when IZZY'S MONSTER swept by to the outside but kept on well to save the place, well clear of the next finisher. IZZY'S MONSTER settled well off the early pace, advanced into contention on the far turn the made a bold sweeping move to the lead leaving the last turn, opened up in the stretch and drew off. UNION DOLLY went three wide into the first turn, tracked close up behind the leading pair to the half, was pushed along at that point to go after the lead, shrugged to maintain position on the far turn then lacked a winning kick in the stretch.
