Chart notes
MONDOGETSBUCKETS broke sharply but veered out after the break, made contact with TAUNTING hard enough to get bumped off stride, then hustled away from the chaos to chase the leaders, squeezed through a non-existent hole at the half-mile marker, making contact wtih BRODY and forcing that rival out two paths, then went to challenge HIGH PROBABILITY for the lead approaching the quarter pole, put that rival away in mid-stretch then went clear under strong handling and urging while having a little trouble keeping to a straight path. BRODY got away from the gate in good order avoiding the mess to the inside, was forwardly placed three wide then was bumped and forced out two paths by MONDOGETSBUCKETS at the half-mile pole, came back and kept on well under steady handling and got up for the place in the last jump. HIGH PROBABILITY sprinted clear from the break, led the field around the turn, dug in when challenged by MONDOGETSBUCKETS approaching the quarter pole, gave way in mid-stretch then was tagged by a late rival on the outside for the place. MELLIFLUOUS was squeezed and pinballed at the start and last away, tracked at the rear to the outside TAUNTING, finished up well and rallied into the fourth position. TAUNTING got sandwiched at the start and spotted the field several lengths head start, raced two wide through the turn and finished with good interest up the rail to improve. T C GOLD broke in at the start putting inside foes in tight while making hard contact with MELLIFLUOUS, then got knocked sideways on the rebound, went to steady handling to try and regain contact with the field, tucked in two wide through the turn then swung five wide into the stretch, drifted out and made contact with STEELY EYE at the three-sixteenths pole, was kept to task under steady handling and intermittent urging and passed a few tired ones late. REGAINED POWER was away well but unable to go with HIGH PROBABILITY early, chased in second position to the stretch and tired. RODAVLAS broke well, settled mid-pack along the rail, was under a drive through the turn but unable to post a threat in the late stages. STEELY EYE tracked mid-pack but four wide through the early stages, continued wide on the turn, took a bump from T C GOLD at the three-sixteenths pole then lugged in through the stretch and was not able to factor in the final outcome. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY INTO THE START AND THE RIDER OF #6 BRODY LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST #2 MONDOGETSBUCKETS ALLEGING INTERFERENCE AT THE HALF-MILE POLE. AFTER A LENGTHY REVIEW NO ACTION WAS TAKEN ON THE STEWARDS INQUIRY AND THE OBJECTION WAS DISALLOWED FOR "INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE TO WARRANT A CHANGE."
