Chart notes
BROADWAY APPEAL sprinted clear early, held sway through the turn but was attracting a host of challengers approaching the quarter pole, re-broke turning into the stretch put a couple of lengths on the rest and went unchallenged late. PEA EYE raced at the front of the tracking group, content to let BROADWAY APPEAL carve out the early splits, was first to break away and go after that rival leaving the seven-sixteenths pole, loomed a big threat with OUT WITH TY also contesting three wide, chased the resurgent foe gallantly down the stretch but was unable to get there while maintaining a clear advantage back to the next finisher. LORD CREW tracked three to four wide through the early stages, kept to that path through the turn then ran on with some energy to gain third. SWEET DEVOTION raced between horses in the second flight, finished with some interest but was not good enough. THE WINNING EDGE was inside of the tracking group, saved ground throughout and finished evenly while never posing a threat. I LOVE THE SONG broke slowly, chased three wide then bid five wide into the stretch and passed a couple of tired ones late. OUT WITH TY tracked four wide with the second flight then faltered in the stretch. GOLDSTRUCK raced close up through the early stages then check out of a tight spot approaching the three furlong pole, lost momentum and could not recover. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
