Chart notes
GOLDEN REBAL cleared off on lead without much coaxing, opened up a bit on the turn, was confidently handled into the stretch, had the rider take a peek behind approaching mid-stretch then held sway under a steady hand ride to the finish. PAYNT BALL pushed for forward position from the start, stalked four wide to the turn, came under a ride passing the five-sixteenths pole, continued to try the winner down the stretch but could not get there and was all out to hold the place. LEMON MERINGUE pressed the pace inside then was shuffled back near the seven-sixteenths marker, stayed to the inside through the turn the finished up well up the rail under steady handling and intermittent urging but was outfinished by PAYNT BALL for the place. SHAGGY EDGE had to coaxed for speed from the break, chased three wide not far off the lead then struggled to keep up late on the turn and was outkicked in the lane. COUNTY JUDGE was outrun from the start and trailed throughout. This race was originally hand timed and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
