J BEAR BEACH pulled hard while stalking the early lead with the rider doing his best to temper the pace, backed off down the backstretch then let the pace scenario play out up front, made a move for the lead leaving the seven-sixteenths pole, swept to the lead three wide, went clear under a mild hand ride and gathered up in the late stages. MCKINZIE MAGIC was mid-pack inside the rallied in the stretch and was just up to claim the place. NO MAP NEEDED raced mid-pack two to three wide, loomed a threat passing the quarter pole, gained the second position in upper stretch then lost the bob at the wire for second. KNOCKED OUT dueled with CRITICAL VELOCITY down the backstretch and into the turn, had no response when J BEAR BEACH took the lead on the turn and weakened in the stretch. ALLTAIL lacked any early speed then launched a mild middle move from the half-mile marker, was gaining late on the far turn then flattened in the stretch. STARSHIP SKITTLES unhurried from the break, settled in last on the first turn, was kept to task and passed a couple of stragglers in the stretch. GOLDENBRAIDS settled near the rear for the first half, was outrun on the far turn and had little to offer in the stretch. CRITICAL VELOCITY hustled from the outside intent on the lead, cut over to the rail putting a couple of foes in tight quarters, led the way to the far turn then gave way readily passing the three furlong pole and faded to last.
