Chart notes
RAZOR CREST broke in and made light contact with CHIEF SLEW, was outrun from the break then coaxed along to keep contact with the field, was in a drive from the half, advanced through the turn the swung five wide into the stretch and finished well under strong handling and urging, got a head in front in the final yards and prevailed. YORKTOWN PANTHER raced off the pace early while under a ride, tipped out four wide into the stretch and finished up well under steady handling and intermittent urging but came up a head short. GABE'S POSSUM sent to the front from the inside, took a short lead into the turn, responded when challenged near the five-sixteenths marker opened up in upper stretch, went clear then was unable to hold off a pair of closers in the final yards. OCEAN JACKPOT pressed the pace two deep to the turn, kept on well while under a drive from the three furlong marker, loomed in upper stretch but could not sustain the run to the finish. TRIPPLE D RULLER vied three wide for the lead down the backstretch, launched a bid with three furlongs to run, came three wide into the stretch, could not find the winning kick and weakened in the late stages. CHIEF SLEW got squeezed at the start then rushed into the early fray, chased three wide and was under a drive passing the seven-sixteenths pole, went three wide on the turn then had trouble changing leads and faltered in the stretch.
